One mark at a time
My working process is rooted in improvisation and discovery, often reflecting natural processes of growth, decay, and accumulation. Ideas that begin as on-location photographic studies are brought into the studio, where they evolve through repeated layers of ink, gouache, and most recently wool. This tactile, hands-on journey transforms my lived experience of the natural world into a fresh perspective on the everyday landscape.
