One mark at a time
My working process can be considered exploratory with improvised arrangements and no predetermined outcome. Often, my work references natural forces such as erosion and accumulation. Most frequently, my work evolves from onsite site photographic exploration to studio work that combines the build-up of repetitive mark making using ink and gouache and most recently wool. This extended process while often time-consuming embraces my interest in exploring the natural landscape with the experience of creating that reveals the everyday in a fresh perspective.
