One mark at a time
My working process can be considered exploratory with improvised arrangements and no predetermined outcome. Often, my work references natural forces such as erosion and accumulation including how pressure and layering can become an archive of deformation. Frequently, my work evolves from a slow build-up of repetitive gestures and mark making using ink. This layering process while often time-consuming embraces the experience of creating and often has meditative qualities.
